Delali is a 16 years old changemakers and student advocating for child rights and child protection especially against child marriage and teenage pregnancy..She advocates for interventions that seeks to support girls and young women in rural communities with economic and livelihood opportunities. She believes this will ensure that marriage is not seen as the only option available to poor families.
During the peak of COVID-19 in 2020, she worked closely with the representatives of Ghana Health Service in her community to ensure universal access to reproductive health services for all young people, in particular girls and young women. Additionally, she ensured access to child and maternal health services, including antenatal and obstetric care, and child immunization and nutrition programmes, particularly for child wives/mothers who often have the least access to these services.
She wants to advocate in particular to address discrimination and social norms that determine the opportunities and potential futures available to girls.
