PMNCH’s role is to contribute to further worldwide progress for women's, children's and adolescents' health and well-being. To achieve this, PMNCH’s work has three focus areas: maternal, newborn and child health; sexual and reproductive health and rights; and adolescent health and well-being. The challenges in all these areas are now exacerbated by the health and socioeconomic consequences of several overlapping crisis, including rising living costs, climate change, an expanding number of conflicts in the world, and the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, there is no doubt that equitable and high-quality health services and systems matter more today than ever before.
The Partnership has a broad membership, bringing together nearly 1 500 members in 6 constituencies. This structure facilitates communication and the management of members’ interactions with the Partnership, enabling them to work together to advance sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health.
