How we are governed
PMNCH’s governance structure is being reorganized and streamlined. Although leaner and more focused, the new structure will continue to reflect the breadth and diversity of its over 1000 members.
The following bodies oversee PMNCH's work.
The Board
The Board’s primary role is high-level advocacy for PMNCH and the issues it represents, as well as strategic oversight of PMNCH, i.e., overseeing the Executive Committee and its operational mandate.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee governs operations and ensures PMNCH realizes its mission. The Executive Committee oversees the work of three standing committees.
Standing Committees
The three Standing Committees are: (1) Governance and Ethics; (2) Strategic Advocacy; and (3) Partner Engagement in Countries.
Working Groups
PMNCH has two permanent Working Groups: (1) Knowledge and Evidence Working Group; (2) Accountability Working Group. These report to the Strategic Advocacy Committee. PMNCH also has various timebound Ad-Hoc Working Groups which are formed to tackle specific issues.
