Membership benefits

Events and networking

• Ability to influence global, regional and national policies, resource flows and actions towards progress on women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health, through a stronger, collective voice.

• Opportunity to work together on projects, events and other initiatives with stakeholders from their own, as well as other, constituencies.

Access to knowledge resources

• Regular updates on women’s, children’s and adolescents’ news through PMNCH’s digital platforms, which includes our website, social media, e-blast, WhatsApp, and the Partner Zone.

• Access to up-to-date women’s, children’s and adolescents’ knowledge-translation material, including toolkits and packages of key resources, technical guidance, advocacy material, best practices and lessons from the field.

Visibility

• Amplification of events, projects and initiatives for women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health through PMNCH’s event hub and digital communication channels.

• Participation in meetings and summits, as well as opportunities for publications of collaborative work, in line with WHO guidelines.

• Adhere to the policies and values of PMNCH, listed in the mandatory disclaimer below.

Collaboration

• Actively initiating and participating in collaborative activities to achieve the objectives of the PMNCH 2021-2025 Strategy, in line with the Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals.

Networking

• Promoting and building networks and relationships within and across constituencies and participate in consultations and requests for information and feedback.

Please note that PMNCH is a Partnership hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO) and that any candidate to partnering with us must be a certified legal entity in its country(ies) of operations and must provide the following documents:

    • Foundation documents (e.g. by-laws; statutes);
    • Name of members and their functions in the decision-making body (e.g. Board, Council);
    • Sources of funding (financial contributors);
    • Affiliation (parent entity, subsidiaries or branches) if any
    • Agreement ot the WHO Arms-Tobacco Disclosure statement.

Mandatory disclaimer

(The organization) does not have or support policies or activities negatively affecting human health; does not have or has had during the past four years any formal association, affiliation or link of any kind, with the tobacco or arms industry. Formal association, affiliation or link may include, but is not limited to:

  1. consultancies or contractual/commercial relationships involving business (e.g. licensing, joint venture or research and development agreements) or other interests (e.g. advocacy or public relations)
  2. the possession of a financial stake, e.g. shareholdings or bonds
  3. a proprietary interest in a substance, technology or process (e.g. ownership of patent)
  4. any programmes, initiatives, research, or projects, either independent or jointly administered which have been directly or indirectly endorsed, funded either monetarily or otherwise, or promoted by the tobacco/arms industry, a subsidiary of a tobacco/arms company, or any commercial entity involved with manufacture, sale, or distribution of tobacco/arms related products
  5. financial interests, controlling interests (i.e. senior-level individuals, including executive board members, with current or previous affiliations, financial or otherwise, with the tobacco/arms industry.

I also understand that the PMNCH Secretariat reserves the right to request additional information from my organization/institution in this regard.

PMNCH reviews all applications received. PMNCH reserves the right at all times to reject applications or terminate membership arrangements that do not meet the criteria, breach the principles established, or otherwise conflict with, the policies of PMNCH and its hosting organization, the World Health Organization (WHO).
