Errol Alden, International Pediatric Association (IPA)

Errol Alden presently serves as President of the International Pediatric Association. After serving as Chairman and Professor of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, he joined the staff of the American Academy of Pediatrics where he became the Chief Executive Officer (2004–2015). Errol has published over 100 articles, abstracts, commentaries and chapters and has earned numerous awards and honours. In 2020, the World Health Organization awarded him the Ishan Dogramici Family Health Prize for his worldwide contributions to children’s health. He also received the Joseph St. Geme, Jr. Leadership Award (1997). He is a graduate of Ohio State University from which he received the Distinguished Medical Alumni Award.
