Poonum Durdana, Khuddi Research and Development

Dr. Poonum Durdana is the CEO and Dounder of Khuddi Research and Development Pakistan and the Co-Chair MNH sub-working group of inter-agency working group on reproductive health in Crises (IAWG RH). She is also engaged as the senior international consultant UNFPA, to study the impact of war on MNH in Gaza.

Her professional expertise span over 25 years more, of working with WHO, UNFPA, UNICEF and UNHCR, providing strategic technical guidance, conducting research, implementing innovative policies and results-driven solutions in reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (RMNCAH) programs and humanitarian responses.   

 As an active contributor to global maternal and newborn health advocacy, Dr. Durdana is also member of every woman every newborn everywhere (EWENE) country implementation group (CIG), advocacy & accountability group (AAWG) and data, metrics and innovation group led by UNICEF and WHO HQs. She was also an ex-task team member for the WHO global MNH advocacy strategy (2024–2030), reflecting her commitment to promote MNH stakeholder engagement, influence policies, and ensuring that MNH remains a priority on global, national, and sub-national agendas.
