Biography

Tammy Farrell is a Project Officer and leads on event management at the Partnership. Her role includes brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts, handling budgeting and invoicing, liaising and negotiating with suppliers, handling logistics, updating senior management, and handling post-event reports and feedback. Tammy believes that a successful event planner is a true people person and has excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, excellent time-management and multitasking skills. Tammy joined the Partnership in 2007 and has been involved in different workstreams such as managing the executive office, Procurement, Finance and Governance.

Tammy earned her Msc in Public Policy and Management from the University of London, School of Oriental & African Studies (SOAS) and has a Bsc in Business Studies from the University of Science & Technology, Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Tammy is passionate about educating girls from less privilege backgrounds. She hopes to return to Nigeria when she retires, where she will join forces with like-minded women and organizations to encourage and create opportunities for girls from disadvantaged backgrounds to gain meaningful education and change their trajectory. She is currently on the Board of Trustees of her alumni foundation working with the Rivers State Government, community leaders and parents to keep girls in school.
