Membership of this constituency is subject to a due diligence process in line with WHO rules and guidelines.

Motivators to participate as a PS member

Value to the Partnership

Examples

1. Amplify the voice and visibility of the PS and its representatives through PMNCH campaigns and outreach (e.g., sitting on events/plenaries, media and digital presence, etc.) This will enhance recognition of the Private Sector’s roles and the value add of the sector through its work towards WCAH.

1. Strengthen PMNCH’s and partners’ ability to access a broad range of Private Sector actors, advocating for WCAH from a multi-stakeholder angle, and identifying joint funding and programming opportunities in line with PMNCH’s Strategy.

2. Digital one-stop-shop to access and influence priority agendas across sectors. Network with different constituencies (UN Agencies, Academia, NGOs, etc). Opportunities for partner engagement at the global, regional and country levels, enabling streamlined engagement and potential for relationship building.

2. Opportunity to catalyze sustainable partnerships at the global, regional and country levels, particularly in LMICs, enabling streamlined engagement and relationship building with Private Sector for advocacy, innovation, capacity building and investment towards WCAH.

3. Opportunity to contribute to global knowledge and synthesis products, positioning topics from the PS perspective. Amplifying resources for advocacy, investment and collaboration focused on PS needs and reality.

3. Access to industry best practices in key areas, such as building PPP’s, marketing, digital comms, sustainability, etc. Achieving PMNCH’s multistakeholder approach in knowledge products by including PS perspective.

4. Connect with organizations from different constituencies with a similar thematic focus on WCAH, which provides flexibility to match the needs and expectations of PS activities.

4. Increase emphasis on domestic resource mobilization for WCAH and the accountability of those resources, in which the private sector has an important role as an advocate, commitment maker or as a funder of PMNCH and its country/regional efforts.
