Universal health coverage (UHC) is rapidly emerging as an essential framework to promote healthy lives and wellbeing for all people. Improving the health of women, girls and adolescents, is at the centre of UHC’s broad health and development goals, and critical to their achievement. During the 72nd session of the World Health Assembly, 20-28 May 2019, PMNCH in collaboration with partners will host events throughout the week that highlight principles, opportunities, and challenges for the inclusion of women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health (WCAH) in national UHC packages, provide a preview of how the UHC menu of interventions will be developed and demonstrate high-level political commitment to WCAH.
