Join us at this important event, the 4th in a series of Lives in the Balance e-summits launched by PMNCH and the CORE Group in 2020, which has served as an innovative platform for inclusive dialogue around women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health. The PMNCH Call to Action on COVID-19, launched in the first Lives in the Balance, has now reached $32.1 Billion announced in commitments from countries and donor organizations to restore essential health, nutrition and social services for women, children and adolescents lost because of the pandemic.
The number of women and children trapped in humanitarian settings has reached catastrophic proportions. This event will focus on addressing the critical needs of crisis-affected women, children and youth in humanitarian contexts, and delivering on commitments to protect and advance their health and well-being. The Summit will:
- Reflect on the continuous challenges to protecting the health and well-being of women, children and adolescents in the context of increased instability across the world, and the policies and financial investments required to provide services to those most in need;
- Share lessons, tools, and resources to inform approaches to reduce the vulnerability of women, children and youth in humanitarian settings and to support national-level resilience strategies.
- Collaborate and identify ways through which countries, partners, and the global community can act in solidarity for women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health and well-being and the delivery of Universal Health Coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals, everywhere.
There is no time to lose. Registration opens on 26 April 2022.
