Join us in a Ministerial breakfast event – "Protecting all Children with the Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV): A Powerful Lifesaving Tool” – on the sidelines of the 75th World Health Assembly, Wednesday, 25 May 2022 from 08.00 to 09.30 CEST.

Ministers of Health from several countries yet to introduce the PCV, and others in various stages of national scale-up, will come together to share their views on the challenges and opportunities for PCV scale-up in the context of the achieving the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 on Good Health and Well-Being.

Ministers will be joined by experts from some of the leading global health, development agencies and donors who will discuss the costs and benefits of PCV introduction and explore solutions to barriers to introduction and scale-up.

For countries losing large numbers of children to pneumonia each year, reaching high coverage with the PCV is an effective child survival strategy with the capacity to prevent more than 2 million child deaths by 2030 and accelerate the achievement of the SDG on child survival.
