Both public and private health facilities play important roles in the provision of voluntary family planning (FP) services. However, little is known about how and if quality of care may differ between these two sectors. MOMENTUM Private Healthcare Delivery conducted an analysis of Service Provision Assessment (SPA) surveys to compare quality of care for FP services in public and private health facilities across several countries. The report, "Quality of Care for Family Planning: A Comparison of Private and Public Facilities in 7 Countries Using Survey Data" shares findings that both support and challenge longstanding assumptions about public and private sector FP service quality in three key aspects of quality: structure, process, and overall outcome.

Join MOMENTUM Private Healthcare Delivery to explore what the analysis found. Experts in quality of care will share how study findings do, and do not, resonate with reality through country examples. Participants will engage in discussion with panelists on how quality of care may be measured differently and recommendations that can inform improvement of quality family planning service provision.
