By Transform Health and UHC2030

Transform Health, DCCC, Geneva Digital Health Hub, OECD, PATH, UHC2030 and YET4H are organising a side event during the 76th World Health Assembly on prioritising investment in digital health transformation to accelerate UHC progress. The event will take place in person on the 23rd of May at 8:30-10:30am CET at Campus Biotech (Chem. des Mines 9, 1202 Genève).
Digital health - which is already an important and growing part of most health systems - offers a huge opportunity to accelerate progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goal of reaching Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by 2030. Last year, Transform Health launched a new report, Closing the digital divide: More and better funding for the digital transformation of health, which guides investment and action to deliver health for all in the digital age. A Partner Action Plan, which has been co-created to bring together stakeholders and action to jointly take forward the recommendations, will be launched during the event.
The side event will bring together different stakeholders (e.g. governments, donors, development partners, private sector, civil society, youth) to galvanise wide support and commitment to prioritise investment in digital health transformation, with a focus on the upcoming High-level meeting on UHC in September. It will include group and plenary discussions on the role of different stakeholders in advancing this agenda and accelerating concrete priority actions and recommendations.
