An unstoppable movement: a global call to recognise and protect all those who defend the right to abortion

Amnesty International will publish on 24 November a new global report highlighting attacks, intimidation, criminalization of those who defend the right to abortion, including healthcare providers. This online event will discuss the findings of the report and call for the protection and recognition of WHRDs working on the right to abortion, and remove barriers to abortion.  The report and online event are part of Amnesty’s global campaign on the right to abortion and links to the “Defending Frontline SRHR Defenders” campaign launched in April 2022, a joint initiative by FIGO, the International Planned Parenthood Federation, the International Confederation of Midwives, Ipas Partners for Reproductive Justice, and MSI Reproductive Choices.
