Lot quality assurance sampling (LQAS) is a classification method for evaluating a program to determine whether a coverage threshold has been reached. Usually this requires a small sample. It is a relatively rapid and inexpensive approach to data collection in lieu of traditional surveys. LQAS is now used internationally and recently integrated with cluster sampling for applications in large countries.

During this webinar, we will learn about the origins of LQAS in the 1920s and why it was developed; how to apply LQAS for monitoring and evaluating programs; how to select an LQAS sample size, collect the data and interpret it; and common pitfalls and things to avoid. A discussion will follow the presentation so we can learn from each other about our collective experiences applying the methodology.
