The WHO/IBP Network in partnership with Share-Net International and the CORE Group is hosting a Side Event at the World Health Assembly on 26th of May, and we are thrilled to invite you to join us!
In May 2024, global leaders from around the world will convene in Geneva Switzerland for the World Health Assembly. This gathering is an opportunity to highlight global public health priorities by member states and discuss and approve the WHOs Global Programme of Work. Over the past years, the role of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) has been increasingly more relevant in WHOs priority setting. In August 2023, WHO launched the first Civil Society Commission with a mission to provide CSO perspectives and input to WHO processes.
“Civil Society ASSEMBLED! Amplifying the Super Power of CSOs for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights” is a space that brings together a range of CSO partners working in SRHR for a workshop to: 1) Elevate the important role of CSOs in shaping the global SRH agenda in turbulent time, 2) Identify and document SRHR priorities for CSOs in research, program and policies, and 3) Provide space for participants to connect and build alliances to work on issues at the convergence of SRHR and other development sectors.
