Clearing the Air to Accelerate Action on Climate and Health

With the adoption of the proposed WHA resolution on climate change and health at the 77th World Health Assembly, this event provides an opportunity for Member States, WHO, and civil society partners to turn attention to how the resolution can be put into practice and action on clean air emerges as an accelerator for action. Clean air action promises rapid benefits for populations and contributes significantly to long-term emissions reduction. This session seeks to bring together different stakeholders to share practical examples of how organizations, cities, and countries are driving change. It will also look forward to the second WHO conference on air pollution in 2025, with opportunities for further substantive discussions and new commitments.
