This is the second instalment of our Inter-Institute Global Health Seminar Series, run in conjunction with the Burnet Institute, Melbourne Children’s Global Health, and the Nossal Institute.

The symposium will focus on Infectious Diseases in Global Health, featuring the below speakers:


  • Dr Aneley Getahun Strobel from Doherty, discussing AMR in Fiji
  • Dr Danielle Wurzel from Melbourne Children’s Global Health, providing an update on global epidemiology and prevention of RSV.
  • Dr Megha Rajasekhar from the Nossal Institute, discussing their work on malaria.
  • Geya Gware representing the Burnet Institute, providing an overview of the TruNat point of care testing screening program in PNG, supporting identification of household TB contacts.


The event will also include a panel discussion from the participants, followed by refreshments.
