Climate change has a critical impact on health, particularly for people in already vulnerable situations. Both directly and indirectly, climate change impacts health through untoward effects of heat on the body, increased infectious and vector borne disease, extreme weather events, displacement, interrupted access and reduced options for health care, water scarcity and increased salinity, malnutrition, mental health issues, and more.
