In 2023, USAID MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership and MOMENTUM Private Healthcare Delivery collaborated to explore different methods and experiences of private sector engagement of family planning (FP) providers in public purchasing programs.

Through a global landscaping review and semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders across various countries—including the Philippines, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya—the MOMENTUM team created an end-to-end value chain for engaging FP private providers in public purchasing programs, identifying key pain points and focusing on emerging solutions to engagement barriers for FP providers.
