Medical Oxygen and NCDs

Every Breath Counts Coalition is pleased to invite you to join the webinar “Medical Oxygen and NCDs” on 17 September from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EDT, during the week preceding the UN High-level Meeting on NCDs at the UN General Assembly.

The purpose is to raise awareness about the vital role of medical oxygen (and pulse oximetry) to treat and manage several NCDs, including post-TB lung disease, COPD, and congenital conditions, and to advocate for medical oxygen/pulse oximetry inclusion in all relevant NCD policies and programs, including the Political Declaration that will be released after the UN meeting.

The format is a 60 minute zoom meeting, open to all, recorded and hosted on our YouTube platform afterwards.

FYI The little girl pictured below in the promotional tile is Missy Kananu from Kenya, who is forced to live in hospital because there is no capacity to have an oxygen concentrator in her home to manage her post-TB chronic lung condition. We will present an update on Missy’s condition on the call.
