In the context of rising health needs and fiscal constraints, this session will explore practical pathways to implement and scale up health taxes to support resilient health systems and advance universal health coverage in low- and middle-income countries. Held in the lead-up to the Africa Forward Summit (May 2026), the discussion will focus on practical pathways to move from policy ambition to implementation, drawing on existing experiences and lessons learned.
