Overview

In Africa, healthcare workers are at an increased risk of infection due to heavy workloads, shortage of PPE, lack of COVID-19 management and prevention training which all lead to not abiding by the standard operating procedures. WHO has been providing PPE and training to African health staff, and was successful in reducing the number of infections.
