PMNCH 2025 Annual Report
Disrupting the status quo: turning global commitments into lasting impact
Overview
The year 2025 marked a turning point for global health. Abrupt funding cuts, shrinking civic space, growing backlash against rights, and the pressures of conflict, climate change and political instability put the health and well-being of women, children and adolescents at increasing risk. In this context, PMNCH made a deliberate choice, not to pause, but to disrupt the status quo.
This annual report shows how PMNCH helped turn global commitments into lasting impact. Across high-level political forums, national coalitions and grassroots advocacy efforts, the Partnership worked to protect political space for women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health, strengthen country-led action, and support more sustainable, locally driven solutions. From advancing health sovereignty and domestic financing, to amplifying lived experience and countering regressive narratives, PMNCH focused on action, accountability and results.
The report also reflects on the lessons of 2025 as PMNCH enters a new phase with its 2026 to 2030 Strategy. It shows how the Partnership is evolving from convening for consensus to convening for action, grounded in equity, human rights and country leadership. In an increasingly uncertain world, PMNCH continues to bring together governments, youth, civil society, parliamentarians, health professionals and global institutions to protect hard-won gains and accelerate progress where it matters most.
