Policy Brief: COVID-19 and People on the Move

Overview

By United Nations

This policy brief highlights the challenges faced by refugees, including vulnerable women, children and adolescents, during the COVID-19 pandemic. It stresses the importance of inclusion of refugees and displaced populations, ensuring that travel restrictions are safely implemented towards people on the move, ensuring that lifesaving humanitarian assistance, learning solutions and social services are accessible to people on the move, and removing barriers established towards people on the move.  The policy brief aims to advocate for a shared responsibility to protect the world's refugees in an equitable matter while ensuring that human mobility is inclusive, safe, and respects the international human rights and refugee law.
