WASH and infection prevention and control measures in schools

Overview

This guidance note is intended to help parliamentarians push for and ministries of education and health maintain hygiene, and prevent Covid-19 infection and spread in schools. It provides an overview of infection prevention and control measures and its intersection with water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in the school setting. It also addresses how UNICEF staff can help governments in infection prevention in the academic sector.(5,7,12,16,21)
