In recent years we have seen a regression of women’s sexual and reproductive rights around the world. Most notably the roll back of access to safe abortions in the US, Poland, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras jeopardises women’s dignity, equal opportunities, health and lives. Women’s rights to sexual freedoms and bodily autonomy are a central component of the work of many global health organisations. Do organisations active in global health also recognise, protect and promote these rights for their employees?

The 2023 Global Health 50/50 Report and Gender & Health Index provide a unique assessment on gender and equality in global health. With an in-depth assessment of 200+ organisations shaping the sector, this year’s report also dives into the workplace policies that champion reproductive health, rights, and justice. From menstruation to menopause, abortion to adoption, our report scrutinises publicly-available policies to shed light on whether workplaces are truly fit for women.

Get ready for a report that unearths new insights into reproductive justice in the workplace. Join us on July 12th at 14:00 BST as we unveil the evidence within our report and discuss the crucial topic of gender equality in the workplace and the indispensable value of reproductive justice.

Our inspiring speakers include: Helen Clark, the trailblazing former Prime Minister of New Zealand, whose leadership has reshaped the landscape of women's rights. Sarah Hawkes and Kent Buse, the co-directors of Global Health 50/50, whose tireless efforts have paved the way for transformative change. And guiding us through this discussion will be none other than Janet Mbugua, the extraordinary author, activist, and former journalist from Kenya, whose voice has amplified the unheard stories of countless women.

Be prepared to be inspired, enlightened, and emboldened. Together, we will challenge the status quo, break down barriers, and build a world where women's rights to sexual freedoms and bodily autonomy are not just ideals but realities. So mark your calendars and be the first to hear our latest research and insights.
