The 3rd Regional MNCH Advocacy Dialogue "Uniting Forces for MNCH Impact: The game changers"

26 September 2024 08:00 – 09:30 ET
Virtual

As the global health community races towards the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the need for accelerated action on MNCH has never been more critical. Despite progress in reducing maternal and child mortality, significant disparities persist, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Partnerships play a vital role in addressing these challenges by uniting resources, expertise, and political will across sectors and borders.

In this session we will highlight the successes and lessons of MNCH coalitions to inform future advocacy strategies and ensure that accelerated action is both effective and sustainable.  We will hear from experts about their experiences in uniting efforts to advance the maternal and newborn health agenda to strengthen advocacy for increased domestic resource investments, policy adoption and implementation, leveraging qualitative and quantitative evidence, and amplifying community voices for the attention of decision-makers.

Session objectives:

  • Highlight innovative practices and partnerships that have shown promise in ending preventable maternal, newborn, and child mortality.
  • Strengthen partnerships among communities, governments, normative agencies, international organizations, and civil society to improve MNCH outcomes across the continent. Registration to attend the webinar is required.
