Message on the occasion of UHC DAY 2021

Statement
Reading time:

More than 1.2 million women and girls made “respectful and dignified care” their #1 ask in the WhatWomenWant campaign and a recent request was made to us to honor their asks.

We, as leaders of the PMNCH Health Care Professional Associations constituency, have heard – and recognize that providing respectful care from all health professionals with whom they interact is an essential element of UHC.

We are committed to transforming the health care system to ensure universal care for all, so that all people can thrive. We are committed to wellness, and to protecting everyone’s health at all times, ensuring quality, respectful and dignified care and leaving no one behind – especially those who are marginalized and vulnerable.

We listen, we learn, and we commit to accelerate our efforts to deliver what women say they need and is important for them and their families.

By joining forces, we can learn from each other, support each other, and provide better care.
