These approaches demonstrated how scalable solutions can expand access to lifesaving care and improve outcomes for mothers, newborns, and children.
Panelists called for urgent action, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, advocacy, and resource mobilization to address workforce shortages and inequities.
"Our health workforce is the backbone of our healthcare system. Their skill, commitment, and resilience are critical in driving progress and reducing maternal and newborn mortality... It’s not just about numbers, but ensuring health workers are well-trained, motivated, and supported, with access to scientific advances, digital tools, and AI for decision-making. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient health system to achieve SDG 3 and secure the healthcare outcomes we envision for future generations."
