Introduction

PMNCH is the world’s largest alliance working for the health and well-being of women, children and adolescents. Our vision is a world in which every woman, child and adolescent realizes their right to health and well-being, leaving no one behind. Our mission is to mobilize, align and amplify the voices of partners to advocate for vulnerable populations. With advocacy as our core function – supported by knowledge synthesis, partner engagement, campaigns and outreach – we mobilize and equip our partners to seek changes in policy, financing and services for WCA, and we hold each other accountable for delivering on our promises. In 2022, PMNCH’s work continued to focus on three areas: maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) and the reduction of stillbirths; sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR); and adolescent health and well-being. Membership reached 1,390 organizations, representing an increase of 39% since the beginning of our strategy period (2021). Of the 167 new member organizations that joined in 2022, 126 come from low- and middle-income countries.
